The White Leghorn is the breed that built the modern egg industry. If your primary goal is filling cartons with large, pearly white eggs, this is the bird for you. Sourced from Hoover’s Hatchery, these birds are high-energy, active foragers, and experts at converting feed into eggs. While they can be flighty and nervous (making them less ideal as “lap pets”), their performance is undeniable. They are very heat tolerant due to their large combs.
