Description
Perfectly imperfect. This hand-turned bowl celebrates the natural history of the tree it came from. Unlike standard lumber, this piece was turned from a log section where the bark was carefully preserved, resulting in a rugged, “live edge” rim that frames the piece.
The Wood: Harvested and turned in Corydon, Iowa. The interior shines with a creamy, blonde hue that highlights the wild patterns of the growth rings. The image makes the wood look slightly darker than the bowl appears in person.
The Aesthetic: This is the definition of “Rustic Chic.” The rough, dark bark rim provides a tactile texture that contrasts beautifully with the silky-smooth finish of the bowl’s basin. It serves perfectly as a catch-all for keys, a holder for decorative stones, or simply as a standalone piece of nature art.
