The Dark Brahma is a majestic bird, often called the “King of All Poultry” due to its large size. Sourced from Hoover’s Hatchery, these birds feature beautiful dark and silver pencil-patterned feathers and feathered legs, which serve as excellent insulation against Iowa winters. They are known for their incredibly docile and quiet nature, making them safe and friendly around children. While they are not the highest production layers, they provide a steady supply of brown eggs during winter when other breeds might slow down.
