Description

Don’t let the name fool you—the Turken is 100% chicken, not a turkey cross! Also known as the Naked Neck, this unique breed from Hoover’s Hatchery is famous for having a featherless neck and 50% fewer feathers than other chickens. This makes them easier to pluck if used for meat, but they are primarily prized as fantastic layers and pets. Surprisingly, they are very cold hardy and arguably the most heat-tolerant breed available. They are known for being very docile, easy to tame, and friendly.
